Seven Letters Productions & Entertainment Inc. Began May 11th
of 1999. The company began when Ken Lanning III had walked into BW3 in Elyria Ohio with some friends to enjoy a karaoke show.
Ken Lanning, Isaac Longwell, Les Berner, and Sam Rodriguez had decided
that Karaoke & D.J was going to be the their goal. After watching the D.J and noticing how much fun she was having,
we all decided that this was what we wanted to do.
As the weeks went by, we had talked more and more about starting
the karaoke business it started to sound like it was never going to happen. We had very little money to start out with,
no experience, and worst of all.....No customers.
About a week later we purchased our first karaoke player which was a kids karaoke
machine for $100.00 at the Elyria Toys R Us. Go figure that one, we thought to ourselves.
Then throwing a few private parties, and two block parties got the attention
of the owner of the Classique Cafe' in sheffield Ohio. We started playing there for tips every Thursday. Before we knew it
we were playing there every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. And doing pretty good.
It wasn't till nearly a year later that we started playing our first Karaoke
Night at a bar.
